What attracted you to join "From The Heart Charitable Group?"

I lost so many friends to Cancer. I saw them suffer. I saw how their families suffered. I felt their pain...their grief...their loss. I vowed to do everything I can to help find the cure for this dreaded disease...to help ease the pain and the suffering of those battling cancer and to celebrate the lives of the lucky survivors.

This is only the beginning...my plan is clearly stated in my vision statement. This will be a lifelong journey...and I know that I will meet a lot of friends along the way who will help me and my group carry on the mission...this noble mission...to help others in every way we can.

• 1990 - Dorothy Rome Nursing Award for Excellence - Advocate Illinois Masonic Hospital - Chicago, Illinois
• 1999 - Outstanding Nurse of the Year - King Fahad National Guard Hospital - Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
• May 2002 - Winner, Nurses' Week Nursing Essay Contest - University of Texas Medical Branch - Galveston, Texas
• March 2007 - Employee of the Month - UMC - Las Vegas, Nevada
• May 2007 - Winner, Nurses' Week Nursing Essay Contest - UMC - Las Vegas, Nevada
• November 2007 - Nurse of the Year, Critical Care Category for Southern Nevada
• February 2008 - Achievement Award, Phillipine Nurses' Association - Las Vegas, Nevada

• Volunteer - Chicago Shriner's Hospital for Children for their shows at the Medinah Temple
• Volunteer - St. Thomas Hospital - Nashville, Tennessee - Gave Christmas souvenirs to all patients - 2004
• AACN & CCRN Ambassador for Nevada - American Association of Critical Care Nurses
• Volunteer - UMC Trauma Services - Las Vegas, Nevada
• Organizer - Dinner Dance at Gold Coast Hotel & Casino - Oct 13, 2007 - Raised $5,056 for the American Cancer Society
